"I wanted to say a massive thank you to you and all of your colleagues for a great day on Sunday. It was one of the toughest rides I have done but I thoroughly enjoyed it.  The organisation was second to none and the course was well sign-posted. The refreshment stops and lunch were also very generous and certainly much needed and everyone was very friendly. And well done for securing the good weather too!" - Pierre Ramboaniaina

"I just wanted to email to say a big thank you to everyone who helped make Sunday an incredibly well organised and well signposted ride. I really cannot praise the organisation of the event enough - from the entry process to email updates and registration on the day -  it was a great experience and I do not underestimate how much hard work must go into something like this. Even the lunch was great and a nice t-shirt at the end" - Gail Edmans

It just needs you to make the decision, to step out of your regular, everyday life, and go for it! The roads not always easy, but the rewards from completing a big challenge and the feeling of personal achievement will stay with you forever. Why it's so important to help raise funds for Action Medical Research

We are a national medical research charity dedicated to preventing and treating disease and disability by funding vital medical research into conditions affecting both children and adults.

As an organisation we have;

  • Made a major contribution to the British polio vaccine.
  • Were responsible for much of the testing of the rubella (German measles) vaccine.
  • Pioneered hip replacement surgery (the Charnley hip).
  • Introduced the medical application of ultrasound.
  • Discovered the importance of folic acid in the prevention of spina bifida.
  • Contributed to the development of monitoring systems routinely used on the brain (following traumatic injury).

With such a breadth of research taking place, Action Medical Research has a relevance to every person living in the UK.
